Why I Pray for Miracles
Have you ever needed a miracle? I am sure we all have. I am always amazed at God’s greatness. I will do my part and God promises to continue to deliver. One thing I know about miracles is… only the grace of God and the Divine intervention of Jesus can create a miracle.
The reason I know this is because I never expected to see another birthday several years ago. I was diagnosed with Cancer. The pain, fear and Anxiety with a capital A, is more than I care to remember. It is more than any human should have to experience. I remember thinking, “There is no way out of this.” In my quiet darkness I wrestled with God and asked for light in my darkest days.
Like the sun coming over the horizon, slowly but surely I began to rise, one minute by hour by one day. He sent his angels to remind me that I did not need to fear.
All of a sudden you reach out to God and he sends an “angel” to help you. This can be in the form of a friend, co-worker or someone in a position to help you at that very moment, help you meet the challenges of that particular circumstance. What would you have done if they had not extended some kindness?
I am always amazed at God’s greatness. He created heaven and earth with a host of Angels to help us perfect His will. These angels come at a time of need in the most unexpected ways. Have you ever found yourself in a situation like Daniel in the Lions Den? “My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king.” (Daniel 6:22, NIV)
His angels are available just by asking, that is why I pray….
All I Need is a Miracle Prayer
Heavenly Father, I rest assured in your blessings. My strength comes from you, knowing that all things are possible through you.
I ask that you fill me with your grace and mercy.
Keep your angels ever present in my life to watch over me. Send your angels to go before me, guide me and show me signs and wonders of your greatness.
I cast out disappointments, sadness and pain knowing that you are the Healer, Mighty Counselor and Physician. I speak only life and that which is good into my life. 2 Kings 2:19-25.
I now have joy, when I thought I would have to give up. When it was expected that I should perish….I am still here.
Angels are encamped around me to make sure that I am blessed. In my own foolishness I am watched over, given gifts of kindness and restored to a new level of goodness and light. I am safe, happy and whole. I witness the miracle of kindness in my life. A kindness beyond understanding.
I release anxiety about what God has planned and trust him to know what is right for me. Only God can help in an amazing way! All I need is a miracle. My living hope is in Christ Jesus!
My life is responding to your kindness. I am restored with strength and a new-found confidence. This is your will, my Divine heritage, thanking you in advance for answering my prayer. AMEN.
