If we walk this journey of life long enough, we are going to hit bumps in the road. Setbacks.

Sometimes life changing events just as I did when my husband passed away. What a journey it has been over the last 2 years. Talk about life turned upside down. Feelings of loneliness. Feelings of betrayal. Feelings of hurt. Definitely faith tested.

But our God is so loving and awesome. He shed tears just as I did. This prayer hopefully will help you seek out the blessings that He will send you each day. Soon that cloud is going to move on. Claim those little blessings as gifts especially for you.

Prayer When Clouds of Trouble and Loss Block Your Faith and Joy

Father God, you are an awesome God. Majestic and Wonderful. Loving and forgiving. Giver of strength and healing. Giver of grace, wisdom and peace. Thank you for all my blessings.

Father God, this journey is full of high and low tides. Some days the waves just take me under. But you bring me back up through a blessing of a sweet song, the red cardinal or a card from a friend.

On days that the clouds are dark, I feel the work of prayers being lifted up for me. When I see the beautiful sunset or when the clouds break just a bit and I see a crease of sun on my cloudiest of days, I will continue to thank you but I am going to claim it as a blessing just for me. My words will be “I receive that.”

You hear my prayers for guidance and strength each morning. You answer those prayers each day. I do receive your favor each day. Thank you for your word in Daniel 4:3, “How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders” (NIV) His signs are superb! His miracles are powerful! His kingdom is everlasting! His rule is for all time!
