It is dedicated to the glory of God, for the service of his church and the furtherance of his kingdom. This chapel is spoken of as “A Sermon in Stone” for its witness of the Gospel message through sacred art and architecture. How I used this place of prayer
As an undergraduate at Samford University in the mid 1990s, I was able to watch the transformation of this chapel. I was able to witness the artist as he painted these murals late into the night. From the first time I saw the chapel to EVERY time I visit, I am overcome by the beauty and magesty of this place. In 2005-06, I took doctoral classes at Beeson Divinity School and would come to this magnificent chapel to pray.

This is by far the most beautiful building I personally have seen in the USA. It is stunningly beautiful and truly draws one closer to the Lord.
