Prayer for Healing

This prayer for healing was composed and used by Kathy Melville when she needed a cancer healing prayer while undergoing chemotherapy.  It can be used as a prayer for cancer patients, a prayer for those suffering chronic illness, a prayer for those undergoing long recovery periods or can be used as a healing service prayer for groups.

Prayer for Healing

Heavenly Father, as the week comes to a close I rest assured in your blessings.  You provide peace and I stand on your promises. For you have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7.

We are open and receptive to your mighty healing presence and power. Like a theta wave you awaken in us, healing forces, connecting us to your constructive, creative, powers which reside in us.

For God so loved the world that he sent his only Son, Christ Jesus. Those who believe in him shall not perish but shall have eternal life. John 3:16. We press forward with courage and boldness and we accept you as our Savior, Almighty Redeemer. We accept your spiritual authority over our lives and life itself on earth and in heaven.

No one has power over the wind to restrain the wind, or power over the day of death. Ecclesiastes 8:8. You parted the seas, revealed your name to us—Yahweh, I am who I am, from a burning bush.  Provided manna in the wilderness and guided your people day and night.

Who is like you Majestic in holiness, Awesome in splendor, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11.  Your presence is with us now and always, releasing our innermost being to recognize that we have an inheritance with you. In Christ our inheritance is the gift of the Holy Spirit. We receive the power of your spirit to create in us a clean heart, that we may be pleasing to you.

We ask that you fill us with your grace and mercy. Draw near to us that we may stand in your presence. In your presence there is freedom and deliverance.  You made us alive together with Christ-by grace we have been saved through faith and this is your precious gift. Ephesians  2:1-8

As we walk with you, through all our challenges this week, bless us with wisdom, and strength to keep trying, knowing that all things are possible through you.    We trust you to comfort us and restore us to perfect peace.  We cast out anxiety, excuses, shame, thoughts of unfulfillment, distress, fear and any circumstances which restrain us from completing your perfect will.

Forgive us for any sins which have caused us to depart from you.  Forgive us for any doubt or unbelief; I believe you are the Healer, Mighty Counselor and Physician.

Release in us joy and peace. For you have promised a river that flows from your temple, overflowing with healing. Ezekiel 47:1-2.  You have promised a fountain of living water that refreshes the deepest part of our being, restoring our relationship with you.  Perfect health is continually restored.

We praise you Father for who you are, and our living hope in Christ Jesus!  I give thanks for harmony and health.  Going forward, I recognize that I must renew my mind daily, rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, be obedient like a child, not conformed to the desires I formerly had in ignorance.  Love one another deeply from the heart.  Seek truth and wisdom.

We ask this believing with all our hearts that health and vitality is the precious gift you give to us now. We praise and rejoice that our bodies are responding with strength, wholeness and perfect health.  This is your will, my Divine heritage, thanking you in advance for answering our prayer.

                               AMEN..AMEN..AMEN.
